About how much HP would an '89 L98 make w/ these mods? stock CAI w/ K&Ns and bottom gutted out, MAF gutted, airfoil, march underdrive crank pulley, AFPR, headers, no cat, 2.5 in. flowmaster catback , coolant bypass, no smog pump, no AIR. I have other mods, but they aren't HP related (gears, wires etc.).

I know this is a weak question, but I ask because I have a GM crate motor that I was told put out 220HP (to the crank) w/ a stock 350 TBI setups....well I have TPI on it, and have the above HP mods, and want to see what kind of power I should be making, so that when I dyno, I'll know if my tuning is way off (i dont believe it is), or if the motor didn't really make that much HP. Thanks.

 

You're only looking at maybe 20hp at the flywheel over stock.

The headers being the only *real* mod I saw, the catback is stock diameter on some cars. The rest is just mild tuning.

 

I was guessing about 25-30. Yea....i dont have a lot of *real* mods....most my money went to swapping from 305 to 350, swapping to posi and 3.73, and swapping from TBI to TPI.....it's an '89 RS...so my money has gone to converting things over. This considered, I dont think it's fair to say i'm only 20 HP over stock.....cause I'm about 80HP over what my car was stock But i know what ya meat....which was exactly what I was looking for...thanks.
