well when i got my car, i went in, and it barley failed, i mean, the numbers were like .01 away. well then a spark plus stated missfiring, so i replaced the plugs, cap, rotor, wires. and i still failed, by more. my engine is a 4 year old l98 crate engine. the previous owner never changed the chip, so i still ahve a 305 chip.could that be my problem? what else can i check?

 

yes that could be your problem.


If the right injectors are in there (22lb/hr) and the chip is thinking its running 19lb/hr's its going to be dumping in more fuel than is necissary
