Using TPI system on older engine

My cousin has a '87 Iroc. The original motor(305) is locked up and he is going to build a 350 for it. He wants to use a older style(pre'86) block and use the existing TPI setup on it. Are there any problems that we may run in to? If so, what are they and can/how do we fix them? Any help would be much appreciated.

Well. Are you planning on using the same heads? those are different, slightly.. Also the flywheel will be a once peice rear vs a two peice rear, maybe.

You can drill the center bolt holes a little bit on your intake to take account for both style heads..

The only problem will be the center bolt holes on the intake manifold. But those can either be slotted to work, or just get an intake base from an '85 or '86 car.
