Can anyone give me a height comparison on the LT1 versus L98 manifolds? I'm doing a 350 powered RX-7 and need to "find" a little hood clearance.

Yeah, I know I'm hijacking this one but didn't want to waste a top level thread

Thanks!

The LT1 intake is quite a bit shorter.

With my 3" Ram Air hood, I think I can close the hood over myself and have room to move. j/k
I would estimate about 3 to 4" lower for the LT1. Keep in mind that the LTR TPI has enough height to cover the distributor. The LT1 does not. (see above pic) The distributor is a good 2" taller than the intake (with plug wires).

I saw the pic, it definitely appeared to be lower but wanted to make sure I knew WTF I was lookin' at. So far I've found a Iron head LT1 engine with about 150K on it for $400 and a "Corvette" engine (They're different from Camaro engines, ya know ) for $1200... more shopping to do.

Thanks for the help
