Fuel problems in stock 305TPI

I've got a bone stock 87' TA with a 305TPI. I have owned the car for 4 years now and have had very few problems with it. However, I am baffled at my current problem. Under the hood on the passengers side near the headlamp is a round canister. This is a charcoal canister which is supposed to dissipate fumes from the gas tank. For some reason I am getting a lot of gas to leak out of this canister when the car runs. I have replaced the canister and all the tubes leading to it, and have also put a vented gas cap on the tank in case the tank was somehow pressurizing the fuel line and sending fuel down it, but I still have a fuel leak out of the cannister. Any help would be IMMENSELY appreciated!!

How is your fuel pressure? Also check the solinoid on top of the evap cannister, when the car is running it should be warm/hot. That solinoid is energized when the car is running and deenergized when off. If it isn't warm it may not be energizing and might cause your problem.
