Can I install a camaro's air filter housing from a TPI car on to a firebird's engine bay (TPI) and the hood still shut? I'm trying to fab a ram air set up for my US Body source Hood. I'm hoping I can modify the dual inlet scoop that sits infront of the Rad to match the hallowed out pocket in the under side of the hood.

Any help would be nice.

Didnt work on my 86 firebird. I tried using an 88 camaro iar setup.

 

With a stock hood it wont fit... but you dont have a stock hood.

I'd look at the ram air TA setup instead if I were you.

 

4th gen set up might be a possability. Why can't the damn hood manufacturer make a ram air kit the bastard?
