I got my hands on a iron head l98 motor from a 89 iroc its going in my 91 Z28. I want to know what you guys found works well together before I start buying goodies. I am keeping it SD, smog legal, TPI. I am looking for 300-350 hp or a mid to low 13 sec time slip. I did a search and suprisingly didnt find anyone with the same question as me. I am running a bone stock 700r4 and 3.42 gears. if that helps any.

 

you want low 13's with that hp? You should probably start stripping stuff out of your car

 

SLP 206/212 cam, headers, Accel TPI base, a WC T-5 14.00@100

Add a torque Converter and a set of Drag Radials and you'll be pretty close.
