LT1 or stealth ram

I am a little new to building TPI motors but have been around carbs all my life. I know what my goals are so i was hoping to get a little advice here. For know I am in the planning stage of my project motor 350 in my 86 firebird. The car is a daily driver that i want to start building as money permits. I want to install a bigger cam and and an exhaust system soon then an intake to help her breath. I only want to be able to rev to 6 or 6500 RPM in the intake department but be able to port it to get the same RPM when i swap in a 400sb. I want to be able to build strong mid range torque out of both engines. I have been reading the site archives and the current posts but so far nothing on the power bands of these intakes, just that they both can make gobs of power. I understand that both take a little fabrication work but I want to know which would be my best route to go for my end goal. Right now I am not into burning PROMs but plan on learning this also. Just started to research this so I am a newbee to the PROM world. What would you guys suggest? Thanks for any help.
