will lt1 tank fit in 3rd gen

i'm swapping an lt1 into a carbuerated 87 z28. i need to change the fuel delivery. i have a 4th gen tank and pump, but will it fit?

im not sure on the gas tank, but I dont think it will fit. I could be wrong, but I thought it wouldnt work.
