Need Help Guys!!!!!

I just recently installed Edelbrock headers, which if I had my time back I would have gone with something else, and I've lost some low end "punch". I know that I will lose some because the headers free up the airflow and you lose some backpressure, but it feels like I have lost too much!? Any ideas why? And would a torque converter be the quick answer to some low end power?
Thanks

"BACKPRESSURE" DOES NOT = TORQUE

Now with that out of the way.... if they were 1 5/8th's (I think the only think edelbrock offers?) you shouldn't have lost enough low end to be complain worthy. Maybe you should look into something you might have missed? Vacuum leak while tooling around under the hood, exhaust leak running you super rich (due to lean 02) or something else. A higher stall wont improve your low end, it will just get you passed the dead spot, you'll put your unusuable power, somewhere you can never use it, under the stall.
