stock 350 max power

I'm going to replace my 305 TPI with a stock 350 longblock from autozone for about $1000. I'm getting new injectors and will program my own prom.

Is this a bad idea? Should I wait until i have money to buy a built up engine? It might be a year before I can afford more than $1500 to spend on my car.

So my question is what kind of et's can be expected with just a stock 350?

Most stock L98 350s I've seen at the strip were pulling mid-14sec times at ~92-94mph.

You should get it for a 91-92 Z28 because they had more power than the previous MAf cars.

I'm not sure but I would be willing to bet that the long block you mentioned would come with a flat tappet cam. Either way I would check the specs on it before you buy it.

No the autozone motor will be a exact factory replacement for the 91-92 350. IT would have the same power and be a roller motor.

No kidding, I don't have any experience with store bought remanufactured engines but that sounds like a great deal!
