What to do before startup after cam and head swap?

Do I need to prelube the engine with the oil pump distributor adapter? What else should I do to ensure a good running engine?? Do I need to run the motor at like 2000rpm for 20mins to break in the cam then change the oil? Mods and engine in sig......

I am assuming you have a roller cam ... if that is the case, no you do not need to run it in. Just drive it. You might want to re-torque the head bolts after you've driven it around foe a while, though.

Yea its a roller cam...so I dont need to prelube it...I can just crank it over with the coil disconnected for a bit and then reconnect it and just let it idle. I dont have to run it at 2000rpm??? How many miles do I have to put on it before I can run it hard?

I would say after a thousand miles or so you can really start to drive it. Before then, just take it easy, and nail it once in a great while. You want to "open up" the motor once in a while during break in.
