Runs better with MAF unplugged? Vac. Leak?
Hey guys. So what do you make of this... LB9 (now L98), A4 that runs better with the MAF unplugged than it does plugged? Don't get me wrong, to say runs better isn't a great thing in this case since it sounds like the car is missing on 2 or more cyl. either way, but it won't even stay running with the MAF plugged in. Also, I have a Air/Fuel Ratio guage, and the car seems to spike really lean right before it stalls with the MAF plugged in, but with the MAF unplugged - it stays around the middle, but still runs like crap at 1500RPM.
I'm thinking vac. leak from hell - what do you guys make of that?

Couldn't be the relay then, has to be the MAF? Do I even want to know how much they are new or used?
Also, is there anyway to test the MAF.... such as a looking for a certain voltage at a certain pin at idle?

If it was a relay or connection, there would be no change plugged in or unplugged.
