Anybody know of results on adding vortec heads with new tpi intake that scroggins dickey sells? i sure like the sounds of 50+ horses with stock vortec heads and vortec tpi intake.thanks for info..

 

Look at the latest issue of GM High Tech. There is an 89 Firebird with an L98 in that the owner put the heads and intake on his car. He used the stock runners, stock L98 cam, 1 7/8 Headers, stock TB and 15* of base timing with 92 octane and made 305 hp at 4700 rpms.

He next put on some Edlebrock Runners, LT4 Hot cam w/1.6 Rockers and a 52mm TB and power jumped to 357 at 4900 rpms.

I did not see it in the article but I am sure that there was some prom tuning but you get the point.
