check this post http://www.skulte.com/ramair.html I'd do it on my 85,'cept I'd need to lose my foglamps. Instead, I cut the bottom off the air boxes, and cut a square opening beneath them in the black "airdam" deflector panel beneath the air boxes, same outside cold air effect, and ram air anything over 30 or so. Plus water will not get into engine.... hydro-lock is a drag. You also get to keep your foglamps this way, and the intake "moan" rocks.

I did it to my camaro. Its a fairly easy mod, just get some hosing or pvc pipe (cheap sh*t) and some screws. I wish I had the receipt for the stuff that I used. I got all the parts from Home Depot for about $22 plus about $45 for the K&N filters.

1. Take out the air box and cut off the bottom portion so it is wide open. Take off the baffles too. You will then have an open air box, none of that bull sittin in the bottom to choke it.

2. While having your air box removed, look down where it sat. You will see the space where the fog lights go, but you will need to cut circles in those two areas to fit the hosing or piping down through. What I did was just put my pipe on there and trace around, then make the cuts, making adjustments as I went. Clean around the outside. Also, take off the foglights.

3. I used a/c supplies for mine. I can't exactly remember, but I got a piece of sheet metal (square) with a 4" hole in the middle, and what I did was, I bent that piece of metal around the air box and screwed it in, leaving the 4" hole in the middle of the air box

4. I used some sealing goo stuff to seal the hosing/piping to my 4" hole in the airbox. Then I simply ran the hose down through the holes I cut running to where the fog lights used to be. I then put some more sealant glue on the bottom of the hosing and glued it to the base (of where the foglights went) so that it wouldn't blow around in the wind.

5. I spray painted it black to match, but you don't have to. Make sure everything is air tight, put the airboxes back on conneting to the hosing, seal it with some goo crap and let it cure overnight!

Ok, I know this sounds difficult, but thats just because i suck really bad at explaining things, if this made any sense to you great! if not, im sorry. This mod is a pretty good one, I can kind of feel it pulling harder in the upper RPMs.

anyway, good luck !!:lala:
