On the top of the throttle body on the driver's side, you'll see a little rod sticking out that's holding the throttle blades open a small amount by preventing them from closing fully. That's the screw you need to turn. There's a tin plate covering the back side where you stick the torx bit. That's the piece that you need to remove.

update

well it seems that someone has already been into adjusting the iac...the cap was already removed...so i followed the steps listed in the tech article and started it with the iac disconnected it was at 750 rpm...so i adjusted it down to about 550 and i kept goin down and it wouldnt drop so i looked at the pin that holds the blades open and there was a gap!.....i pushed the blades back to the pin and it was at 450 were it should be....i sprayed a little silicone grease on the the thing the blades slide on so it wouldnt stick.....i hooked up the iac fired it up and its glass smooth at 725 rpm....ill keep you guys posted cuz the luck with my car it will start actin up soon lol

thanks guys for the help!!!!

damnit

well just back froma little test dirive and the rpms hang when i shift (5 speed)....i shift at 3 grand and they stay there untill i let the clutch in the next gear....when i come to a stop light the rpms stay at 1500 or so i give it a little tap on the gas pedal and the idle goes back to 725...i dont think theres a vacuu,m leak cuz it does idle at 725 it just needs a little tap on the gas to get it to come down...
any ideas?

Sounds like the linkage or the cable is still sticking.

the cable and linkage moves pretty freely...the thing is that the part of the blades that rests on the idle adjust screw doesnt sit against it....its like 2 fingernails thickness from touchin it...and when its not seated i push it against the screw and the idle comes down to were it should be and stays there untill i open the throttle then when u let off it almost seats on the screw but it doesnt seat all the way....

i tried using wd-40 on the side ob the tb were all the linkage crap is at and it seemd to help a little but a little isnt enough....

i think im gonna take the tb off tomorrow and have a way with the cables and linkage

I ran into exactly the same problem!!! Mine only does it when it is 100 F outside and the car is nice and hot. I was thinking my spring on the throttle body wasn't very high quality and that the spring constant deminishes in heat therefore not seating the throttle fully closed. It is very anoying.

The other thing I might have as a problem is that my TV cable doesn't run the way it was intended. It has quite a sharp bend in it. I tested it for free movement and felt it would be fine, possible with the added heat, resistance in the cable increases therfore the problem. I can't do the cable right because I have large runners on the TPI and it will not route through them anymore.

In time I will need a less bulky ended TV cable to be able to route it through correctly, an attatcment plate for throttle cable and cruise control bolted to the plenum.

Hope this helps
