my maf sensor coded a few weeks ago and now and then when i first start the car it is very hard t start and when it does it runs like it wants to stall until the ck engine light comes on then runs fine... any suggestions on re man maf or what? thanks

Not sure without some code #s and more diag, but sticking power and/or burnoff relays can cause that kind of problem.

 

look at the filament in the MAF -its probably broken. In which case youll need another one unless you are going SD. This happened to once. The car goes into limp home mode when the light comes on and the car seems to run "better" but not near as good as normal.

 

thanks guys it was actually a 2 part problem the maf was bad and also the power relay was not letting the proper voltage to it so when i got it running fine with no code i put back the maf and engine coded then put back the new one changed the relay coded again.... guy at the dealer said when i went there for a relay i never seen one go bad before like an ***.....i said then why do you stock them.... anyhow thanks for the help
