SVO injectors

Ok ,this has been beat around for years now, does anyone really know for sure on the theory that SVO injectors are rated at a different pressure than the GM ones? for example SVO 24# equal to approx 26# GM, 19# equal to approx 21# GM?

Its true. I have 30# injectors and with the injector constant at 33#'s the car ran the same rich/lean wise as it did with the stock 22#'s.

Why? Well, thats because Ford doesnt run the same pressure as GM does, and since those injectors are supposed to be used in a Ford they rate them at the Ford pressure so that the #/hr number is useful information for a Ford guy who's changing things.

Yeqh,Ford FP is usually 36-38 or so,just wasnt sure if there was an SAE type rating system for flow rates etc.Myself, I felt it held some merit, cause my car should not like the 19# SVO injectors at all if there wasnt some difference. Its kinda going by TPIS's theory of smaller squirters @ a higher pressure ,my SVO 19#'ers are @ 51 psi.And if it was running out of fuel/too lean it wouldnt MPH close to 103 MPH in 4th gear of a 700r4.My biggest problem is the 85 ECM im currwntly running, just not a whole lot that can be messed with PROM wise. well, thanks for the info MAX.

so on average, add about 2lbs to the rated flow on SVO to get equivlant GM flow?

new flow= [square root(new pressure/old pressure)]*old flow

That makes 24# injectors around 26. 19's around 20.5ish. As usual, your results may vary.
