TPI advantages and swap
Ok, I'm not sure what to believe, but I've been told carb is better than tpi if tuned right (because this guy says it doesn't flow well above 4500 stock or 5500 modded). I've also been told tpi is better than carb. So, what should I believe? If tpi is better, I want to swap to tpi, and I want to know how hard it is, and what would be involved.
What kind of racing are you doing? Carbs are better than tpi for quarter mile racing. TPI is much more expensive to mod. TPI is typically better for street racing because it's easier to make street legal, can make decent gas mileage, and the low end grunt can make for some quick 0-60 times. My friend had a 72 el camino, with a holley carb. We used to race on the street and I'd always win up to 70. But at the track our best times were 13.9 and 14.4. Despite the quicker 0-60, he beat me in the quarter mile every time.

I'm not using it for racing right now, just need something that will easily accept expansion for later added power. It's just a daily driver right now.

If i had another CCCS car the last thing i would do to it is put TPI on it. Unless i won the lottery or something anyway.
It's worlds cheaper to make power with a carbed car, and also a lot more reliable in the long run.
