Is it Tuned Port Injection or carb!!!!!

Never heard of an "HO" TPI engine!!! Only carbed engines were marketed as "HO" to my knowledge!!!

If it's carbed you're supposed to step on the gas before starting, to set the choke!!!!

If it's TPI, check your Throttle Position Sensor voltage!!!

You seem to like a lot of exclamation points, hope these were enough for you!!!!!!!

The deal about the HO TPI comes from the RPO decoder here. When you look up LB9 you get "LB9 : ENGINE, GAS, 8 CYL, 5.0L, TPI, HO"..
