need help with 85 iroc z
i own an '85 camaro iroc z, 305ci, 700r4 trans. i want to put new cylinder heads, intake manifold, and camshaft in it, but i dont know how to properly match all three to get a well balanced engine. i've looked in all the mags and books but havent been able to come up with anything. i would appreciate any advice. thanks. Ryan.
The 305 kills your head choices
I'd say vette aluminum L98's, a cam with duraton between 210-215 114 lsa and as much lift as you can afford.
a good stall
maybe an edelbrock base and slp runners?
There's endless combos all over the boards, maybe browse the readers ride section and find someone with a 305 and some good track times to use as an example.

I'd try to decide what your performance goals are first, then choose an approach. Chances are, putting big bucks into a 305 won't be the cheapest way to get what you want.

Actually, I had around 3,000 or more posts when we all got reset in 99. I've been around since 95, back when this place was still hosted on Dirk's .edu account!
