IVE BEEN HAVING THIS IDEA OF CONVERTING A TPI SYSTEM INTO A MECHANICAL FUEL INJECTION, SUCH AS HILBORN, ENDERLE, ENGLER, ECT. THE PIC BELOW IS A FABRICATED TPI SYSTEM, NOTE THE INJECTORS, THEY ARE NOZZLES FOR A MECHANICAL SETUP, IM THINKIN BELT DRIVE HILBORN PUMP, METERING BLOCK, BARREL VALVE AND DISTRIBUTION BLOCK, WHITH THE PROPER NOZZLES AND PILLS FOR GAS TO DELIVER THE SAME FUEL AS 19LB INJECTORS, AND 58MM THROTTLE BODYS, OF COURSE THE FUEL PUMP IN THE TANK WILL BE DELETED....
JUST A THOUGHT IM THINKIN ON BRINGING TO REALITY.....

It's light having an off on switch for a gas pedal.

If you want to go to a Bosch mechanical set up you MIGHT like it, but even with lots of experience they take FOREVER to get right.

You'll never match the performance of EFI with a Correct calibration.

 

A friend of mine has an old mercades mechanical FI engine.

Saw a picture of the hp/torque curve. Torque curve looked like a flat line with peak torque at all rpms.

I was impressed! Not sure if that had to do with the fact that it eas mechanical or what, but just wanted to toss that in.

(electrical problems suck IMO, so it might not be too bad of an idea)

 

Is that a GM TBI throttle body stuck to the end of that plenum? WTF?
