I have a 91 TPI 350 and mine has an oil cooler, but i am about to unhook it b/c they make your car run hotter.

somethings wrong with that statement or your car, i think.
if the engine oil is cooled it will leave less heat for the engine cooling system to have to dissipate thereby cooling your car better.
correct?
i think.
im not sure.
any insight into this anyone else?

Since the factory setups used antifreeze to cool the oil, it really doesn't matter either way. Is it a cooler, a warmer, or both? Jeez, who knows..

An aftermarket, or Caprice style setup that is an actual . COOLER will work better.

I know that if you have an RPO code of B4C, your thirdgen SHOULD have an oil cooler. And I'm pretty sure that ILE's got 'em too.

I know saying it made my car run hotter with it on is kinda strange since it is a cooler. But the way they are from the factory aren't really good to begin with, and for some reason they do make your car run a little warmer. From experience, it doesn't make it run too much hotter.
