Any advice for a new TPI owner?

Hey guys, I just purchased a 86 IROC with 305 TPI. Any advice from the experts how to get the most out of this engine? I'm not necessarily talking about power, but longevity. Are there any things in particular I should do to keep this engine running a long time?

Perform regular maintenance religiously and keep your foot out of it - racing/hard driving is much harder on parts than regular driving (I doubt it will be long until you forsake engine longevity in the endless pursuit of speed, though).

Considering I'm going to the IROC from a 2.8 Sport Coupe, I'm sure the speed will satisfy me.

You'd think that it would, but trust me you always want to go faster. My first car was a '91 3.1 and when i got the IROC i thought it was so fast. Now after going to the track with it,I see how slow it actually is!!
