87 or 89 Injectors
From what I understand, in 1989 GM began using better injectors that created a better spray pattern, were more reliable, etc. I have a set of those injectors but one of them is bad.
Would it be worth my time to replace my 87 Injectors with a set of matched 89 Injectors?
If so, Will the 89s plug directly into my 87 base and runners, and plugs?
the reason I am asking is I am considering sending my extra set of injectors to have them matched and cleaned...
thanks
John

Well, in '89 the injectors were the exact size they were through all the years. (Physical size) They will fit perfectly, make sure to use NEW o-rings. On your 87 don't you have a cold start injector?? Just wondering.
By the way, are you putting these in a 350? If so, remember that the 305's got the 19#/hr injectors and the 350's got 22#/hr's.

I picked up the TPI unit from an 89 305, so they should be 19's...
