New Distributor??

Ive started ordering my Stealth Ram in pieces (fuelrails last week manifold/plenum this week) now my problem is that ive got a Dist. with an Accel Super coil (in-cap). Ive read that in order to use the Stealth Ram i have to go back to remote coil. i was wondering if im going to need a whole new distributor or could i just swap the cap. Also, a friend of mine has told me that a stock dist. would be sufficent enough for the car say from a boneyard and just to replace the rotor and cap and get a hi-perf. coil, I planned on getting an MSD unit but a $40 dist compared to a $140 one seems much better. just looking for some input here.

I've never compared them but I'm sure you can't just buy a new cap. You'll need a new distributor and coil. I agree that a stock distributor would be fine, but if you feel the need to get a really nice one check out the msd for $230 at summit or jegs.

when i pull the dist. should i get the wiring harness also? because we use weatherpack connections (if i recall) and i see no provisions on the one i have now for it so i guess the owner before me spliced the wires.
