please help- fuel question

Ok i have an 89 tpi 305 trans am. it broke down and i tried to start it and it wouldent. i sprayed carb cleaner into it and it started. i thought it was the fuel pump so i replaced it. after i replaced it i tried to start it and it still wouldent start. it still fires on carb cleaner.i have fuel pressure and i hear the pump cycle when i turn the key. also the inertia switch is down. what else could it be????? please any suggestions will help.

oh it only stays running if i continualy spray carb cleaner into it. if i stop spraying it dies.

what is the fuel preshure? you have to have at least 20 psi in order to keeep your car running, but you should be at 40 check it out with a fuel preshure gauge and see whats up. if it is low it would be you fuel preshure ragulator, or you might have bad injectors.
