help i can smell fuel in the car (kinda long)

I recently pulled my 350 to change a rod bearing, now whenever your driving you can smell raw fuel, and really bad when your on the freeway, i think it may have a little to do with my exhaust leak, but you cant smeel it when it is just sitting there idling, like when i get out and look under the hood. When we put the engine back in, i only hooked up the coolent temperature sensor on the drivers side, there were two connectors that were supposed to connect to the block on the passenger side, but they didnt get hooked back up, could this be the source of the problem? Any other ideas would be great, cus its killing my gas mileage to.

Check your fuel injector seals, if you are TPI.

The fuel vapors are being sucked in through your ventilation system, most likely.

Good luck with that.
