Mod Plans/Power increase?
Mod Plans/Power increase?
Im thinking of some mods to do for my 88 GTA, its 350 and already has muffler and cold air induction.
Hedmen Street Hedders: shorty 1 5/8in with AIR and y pipe. $310
Dynomax Cat: 3in inlet/outlet 3way convertor with AIR. $130
Crane CompuCam 2032: 270/276 .452/.465 $270
Summit SLP intake runners: $150
In case you can't tell im going for keeping TPI/low end torque and emissions junk. Those prices are all from summit. Anyone have any suggestions including better/cheaper parts? Also with the above parts am I going to need some extra equipment to say keep it emissions and egr or something like that? Last minute hidden expensis? Installation difficulties? Also how much power can I expect to see from this?

I hope you bought the runners already because they are sold out now.
Is that a HR cam? Make sure you get one. Otherwise that stuff looks good. You're going to want to do some work on your plenum and intake manifold after you get those runners. As far as hidden expenses - remember gaskets, coolant, rtv, spark plugs(take them out before you install headers), spark plug wire boots/heat wrap, timing chain would be a good idea. The runners came with bolts and gaskets if you got them. If you do some port work on your intake as well as installing that stuff, you could probably see a good 40+ horsepower.
