Try doin a search for Lt1 intake.

I think most people agree that by only changing the intake, (and not heads, cam, gears, or torque converter along with it) it will make very minimal performance increases. But to tell you the truth, I don't think anyone has really added the Lt1 intake before w/ stock heads, cam, gears, torque converter. I would think that you'd see gains, but I'm not sure how much.

For more info on the intake swap itself go to www.lt1intake.com

hope I helped

I noticed a little bit of a gain. I ran a 13.8 before and I gteched it and got a 13.6 after but that was with headers too. my engine is rebuilt though a little work done to heads but not much at all.

What did your MPH do before and after? That is a better indication of HP the ET.

I'm still in the process of my swap. Actually The engine is complete but the chip wasn't programmed right and I have to send it back to get reprogrammed. I swapped heads, cam and intake all at once. Already did the converter and gears. I was suppose to take it to Bowling Green this past weekend...

My brother installed a TPIS Miniram on his 87 GTA with NO other changes (not even the chip), because his TPI intake was destroyed. He knew it wasn't optimal but also knew he would do other chnges later. The Miniram is VERY VERY similar to the LT-1 intake.

Long story short, his seat-of-the-pants reaction was that he simply traded low end torque for higher RPM HP. He thinks that he would probably run the 1/4 mile at a slower ET but with a few more MPH.
