Thinking of getting a TPI but which one?????
305/350. I sold my 91RS 305 and bught a 1996 TA which I love very much, but I really miss my 3rdgen! I learned that my TBI lacks in preformance but my next 3rdgen wont be for preformance since thats now the sole job of my TA. But the apperance of the z28's in 91-92 is what I want (rims, hoodblisters exc.) So what would be the better buy. I still want good preformance but not alot of hasle with repairs. Which one is generally cheaper to maintain? If you were in my shoes which one would you get and why?

If tranny type makes a difference to you then it's good to know that all 350's are Auto's. I like the simplicity of a standard when I'm looking for a durable/reliable car. That's why I have a 305 and 5-speed.
I did spin a rob bearing in my 305 around 85,00 miles. My fault, I didn't change my oil quick enough after bringing it out of winter storage. When I called the machine shop and told him what happened he immediately asked if it was on cyl. 7 or 8. He said that its pretty common with the 305's to spin a rod bearing.
could be common on 350 too for all I know. I'm just trying to give you a little info based on my experiences.
TPI is definately superior to TBI. You will really feel a difference.
