Edelbrock Headers?

hey guys, i'm thinking about picking up some edelbrock headers and a new y-pipe, i've already got a flowmaster so the muffler is free flowing, how much is this gonna knock my 1/4 mile time down and will i be able to feel a kick in the pants difference when i have them installed. and also will it sound louder, the car is already loud but will this make it louder?

The answers are yes and yes. When I bought my car it already had the headers on it and it sounds very nice. I also have a Flowmaster exhaust too.

I've run as low as 13.80's with stock heads and cam with these headers. I haven't seen any run that quick with regular manifolds.

Alot of people hack on them and if you have the money get the SLP stainless ones, but if you're on a budget these will work.

Agree to 88 IROC BOB you will notice a gain, but IF you have the money spend them on SLP instead.

I had TES before I switched to SLP......all I can say is SLP is better/ nicer but costs more...........it's up to your wallet to decide....

as much as i would like to drop over 400 for the SLP headers i am afraid that is a little out of budget, i can get these edlebrock's for 150-175, haven't work price out yet. so i'm gonna notice a difference of what maybe .5 seconds off my ET??? this is what it seems like to me maybe a little more? thanks for all the help guys, i will keep you updated.

Get them coated by Jet-Hot before you install them. They get damn hot, and if you're running a std length spark plug, you'll melt the boots often. I was running Bosch Platinums, which are shorties, but my car needed valve guide seals, so I fouled the **** out of them. With the std AC's, the #1 boot is still close, but with the coating they don't melt. I love my TES, and would buy it again and again. Easy install, good looks and good performance.
