Fuel rail spacers

While installing my TPIS base, the instructions say to use 4 spacers about 1/4" under the feul rails. I installed the spacers but the injector o-rings are just barely below the top of the opening for the injectors.

Anyone else who's used this base, did you use the spacers without problems? I'm still putting this setup together and would like opinions before I get the runners and plenum installed.

Thanks!

You might want to check those instructions again.... It may have said .025"... not .25". I have never heard of spacers that large. Usually, you only need spacers if the injectors are binding at the bottom of the base.

Those "spacers" should look like medium thickness washers. I used about 1/8" total for mine (2-washers for each). Just use different thicknesses until the injectors are seated, but not binding when the rail is tightened down...too tight could result in injector leaks at the nozzle, too loose and you could spray fuel on the engine!
