edelbrock tpi baseplate/runners

will the edlebrock tpi baseplate and runners work good with a 305 if i had either stock heads or somethin like world products 305 torquers, with edelbrock TES headers and a new cam and throttle body....does this sound like a good setup? tell me what u think, thanks a lot

oh...and the edelbrock runners say on hegs that they are 89 and over engines...why is this...i have an 88...will they still work?

reason they say 89 and over is cause there runnners arent for Cold Start injection. I believe its from 85-88' U should call jegs and Summit im sure they have Edelbrocks Runners for 85-89. As for the setup, All i have is their intake and TES headers and i like em.

The TPI is designed for a 305 and pretty much flows well enough for it, possibly even if the heads were upgraded. That is not to say that on a 305 it won't start power loss at 4500rpm, becuase it will.

However, if you go upgrading the TPI components on a stock 305 you may bog it down with air and kill all kinds of torque especially in the lower R's. Honestly, some people with stock 350's see next to no gains... Having all of this said, I would spend the money elsewhere on a 305.

the one for the 85-88 are

3890 for both the runners and intake
3860 just the baseplate
3865 just the runners
