I usually adjust things to make it go faster, and if it slows down, i do the opposite. When i run out of things to turn i eat a cheeseburger from the booth.

arlight then what would you say prom tunning would do on my ride.
right now i'm running 11 and lower ratio being way rich at 44 psi full throttle...i'm not sure what my timing is, but everything seems to run and idle smoothly minus the richness of course and so far i've pulled a best of 13.7 stock.
now this is of course with the cai, full exhaust, and suspension; but the engine and computer is stock. what would i expect to gain to go through all of that?

Assuming you're fully capable of accuratly tuning you'll notice increased fuel economy (This isn't a sales pitch for a tornado) performance, and the thing that was a deciding factor for me was the timing curve, thats something that I couldn't live with not having controll of, now my entire timing table is just 2-3 degrees short of detonation at any RPM/Load, which still probably isn't optimally tuned for performance but now that I've established a barrier I can decrease untill performance drops off. Also controlling fan temps, if you yank EGR like me you can disable that code (or any other for that matter) you just have complete controll of your vehicle.. the way it SHOULD be.
Idle speeds
highway modes (lean it out for long trips)
TCC lockups
There's just way to many ways to justify the $150 it costs to have your car do what you want when you want..

i agree with it all and it's definate sound advice, i was just curious as to what other things can be done besides data adjustment.
thanks for all the help though it's greatly appreciate and your suggestions are certainly welcome.

I had been getting by with a lot of fuel pressure and manual timing adjustments at the track. I'd bring a handful of chips with me with different combinations of injector constant for rough fuel adjustments and timing curves, and then use the mechanical stuff for fine tuning. Just a set of chips with different injector constants can do you a world of help. Especially when you have a problem like running rich and you don't have any room to go lower on fuel pressure,
All that should be changing now. I just picked up a laptop, and will be getting an inverter as well for my car so i can charge the laptop, and most importantly burn in the pits. Now i don't need a handful of chips. I can make a run. Log the data. Make the changes i want and try again. Should help a lot as i look for the missing low end from the siamesed base.
