The car in question is an 86 IROC with a non roller cam. I was wondering what the best cam would be for it out of all the choices out their. I do not want to go the custom chip route or have an undriveable beast. The car has now an airfoil,AFPR,Flowmaster cat back, hooker 2055's headers,a chip of unknown manufacturer,Taylor wires,Accell coil,shift kit,3.42's,ported plenum, 150 hp nos kit. Any help at all would be appreciated. THANX

when i rebuilt my 305tpi in my 86 iroc, i went with the comp cam with a .444 lift on intake and exhaust...seems to do pretty good. when the cam came in, it said for a 350tpi. i called comp cam's and they said it will also work on a 305tpi. i still run factory prom. might be a better cam out there, just wanted to let you know what i have in mine...idle and vacuum is good. best of luck, tom

i went with a compucam 2030.... worked great .... but i am now going one step up i belive the 2040 with 1.6 roller rockers...
