Injector Ecm-calibration

Hi.
(My car is a Corvette 1990 L98 man 6-shifted ORIGINAL this far)

Could any of you pro's help me out calibrating my new
Injector flow rate constant.

As it is right now i'am using the original injectors.
Tunercat says my flow-rate is 22.1

Now i'am about to replace those with FORD SVO 24#, but still
use my original fuel-pressure.

So how and what should the new value of the Injector flow rate be?

(Yes i know, there is a FAQ, but i really wanna be sure one this one)

Using hte SVO's at stock fuel pressure, I would go with something around 25#

But your really going to need A Scantool to check your BLMS to see.

I got 25.9# as my inj constant when I switched to those injectors, fuel pressure set to 45psi.

As Bort said, the only way to be sure is w/ a scantool and watching the BLM data to see if the ECM is adding or subtracting fuel.

I agree at high 25 low 26 range, but that doesn't mean you'll be anywhere close...

I have LT1 injectors in my car at 2 psi over the stock range and I can take my injector constant up to about 30 and still be rich, I ended up having to almost half whats in my VE tables under 4k, and increase over...

so who knows, a scan tool and testing is all you can really do.

A local tuner company said that there is no way i'am going
to get a good idle with my Ford SVO #24's. Because they were
way to much for my original engine.

Is this true?

Only if you don't change the injector constant when you install them. And a lot of guys have installed 24#SVOs without making a change to the eprom and their cars idled fine. But it is best to adjust the Injector Constant that results in the most consistant BLMs as close to 128/128 when analyzing with a scan tool that you can get. When you find just as many readings are over 128 and under 128, then you've adjusted as best you can with the Injector Constant. Then, if you want to tweak it further, you need to look at other tables.

I would also recommend that you readjust your IAC for idle after you install the new injectors and run your first "modified" bin wit the new injectors. I find that helps a lot in resolving some idle issues.
