LT1 intake bolt holes
LT1 intake bolt holes
This may be a stupid question, but, has anyone put on an LT1
intake and left out the 4 center bolts?
I have one of John's intakes here and am mocking up the engine
to see how the intake lines up and the center bolts look like they
are a bitch. I have an idea of sealing the center bolt holes in the
manifold with JB and just using the 8 corner bolts around the
coolant passages.
The Vortec engines get away with it, so why cant we?

the vortec intakes can do it because they use a different style of gasket, if you do it it WILL leak. you can use allen head bolts and they should fit.

It looks like you ordered a late style bolt pattern and the heads are actually early style bolt pattern.
