I found someone that is selling a ported and polished plenum with SLP ported, polished, and simeased 2inch in runners.. I looked up the SLP part #(20004) for the runners and it said for 89-92 350/305.. I have an 88 305 TPI.. Will they still work and whats the difference?

 

nope... it wont work cause u have a cold start injector... thoes runners do not have that small runner that the 85-88 ones have...

 

They sure do have that "small runner" in them. I have a pair of them sitting in my garage now. The only difference is that the tube on the driver side is blocked off by allen plugs and the hole for the cold start injector is missing, but can easily be added using the proper size counterbore, then removing the plugs from the small tube will get you a set of 85-88 compatiable runners..

 

Do you have to use your 9th injector or is there a way to get rid of it from the system so I can use 89-92 runners and plenum..

 

To be rid of the need for the CS injector you'd need to move up to the 89 prom code, most noteably the ARAP code. Then you'd just need to cap off the little port at the back of the LH fuel rail where the injector connects.
