Largest Cam size with stock speed density?

Thinking about trying the TPI swap again...this time with a decent setup and with Vortec heads. I am mostly looking for a daily driver but may race occasionally. My question is will my cam run ok with no programming? Here are the specs:

Compcams duration: 212/224 lift: .480/.480 LSA: 112

I know the duration is a little high for stock EPROMs, but if it'll work, then I'm willing to give TPI another shot. Thanks.

The duration and lift won't be a problem but I've people have had issues tunning w/ the 112 LSA

Well according to Comp cams catalog that cam requires a modified chip.

Part #08-300-8 is their stock TPI cam

The largest cam is around a 218 cam. BEFORE I got into burning chips I had a TPIS Level V chip custom burned for my 218/224 cam. The chip sucked. Eventually I got into PROM burning and I looked at what they did. They did nothing to the fuel curve. So - basically I was running stock fueling Anyhow - with stock fueling the 218/224 cam would bottom out at 108 BLMs but the integrator had just enough room to compensate. So - a 218 cam is borderline. Now, with that said, BEFORE the car enters closed loop and the ECM can compensate for the excess fuel at idle ... you'll be washing the cylinders with Fuel.

A 212 cam shouldn't be a big deal.
