Some head games
I was curious. The aluminum L98 head, they have a 58 cc combustion chamber and 1.94/1.50 valves, and a 163 cc intake runner. Now the WP torquer 305 head has the exact same dimensions, with a 170 cc intake runner. I know that the obvious trade-off to those heads is one is iron the other is aluminum. Is there anything else? Is the 200 more per pair really that worth it?
Plus the WP head as the egr passage in it, so ther is no need to mod the existing setup, i.e., drill a (probably expensive) header.
With a good port and polish, and a valve job the should flow as good, shouldnt they?
Oh, and any good thing about the pro-lightning heads?

All things being equal between the Al Vette heads vs the CI WP heads, most likely you'll have a "ping-problem" with CI. Al dissapates the heat much better. Al. is also much easier to massage than CI for performance.
Again, this is assuming both heads are EXACTLY the same, which most likely they're not. That said, Ive not heard of many folks running the 305 WP heads on the L98, yet it's common to see the Vette heads on the L98.
