corvette heads vs. vortec heads for a 350 tpi
i am buying a trans am with a 350 tpi with the vette aluminum cylinder heads. the guy says the stock intake manifold wont fit these heads. is this true?
anyways, i plan on either putting the accel superram base and plenum and runners on the vette heads, or the super ram stuff with the sdpc base on the vortecs. what would the horsepower difference be? im leaning towards the vette heads cuz there already on the engine, but is it worth it for the vortecs?

Whether the epends on what year the stock intake is...needs to be an '85-86 to directly bolt to the Vette heads, otherwise the two middle intake bolt holes on each side will need to be slotted.
The Vortecs flow better and have a better chamber design than the Vette heads. The Vortec heads and Super-Ram plenum + runners will make more power.

Those Vette heads will work. if you have an 87-up intake manifold you'll just have to open up the center bolt holes. I did it on mine and had no leaking problems.

Oh man - Scoggin base w/ vortecs and superram plenum+runners... I would take that on just because it's a cool combination, and you'd make gobs of power too that helps.
