IAC Motor Problem?

IAC Motor Problem?

the IAC motor connector moves outward when i rev the engine . wtf? could that be causing my slight miss/(ing) at idle? anyone elses IAC motor do this???? thanks for any help.


the arrow is pointing at what is moving outward when i rev the engine.

That doesn't sound right to me. Did you inspect the threads on the IAC motor? Are you sure the entire engine isn't shifting and you're just focusing on the IAC?? If the IAC is moving out you are probably sucking in air through there and it could be causing your problem.

yes i'm definitely sure it's the plastic connector. the engine in fact hardly moves at all with the poly mounts. that's why it tripped the hell out of me. the metal IAC motor housing does not move at all. just the plastic connector. the motor is screwed in there tight. i double checked. i guess i'll have to replace it. thanks again.
