I was looking at going with this system for my 88 iroc 5.7 Liter. Anyway, I was wondering what all I would need for it to work. Could I make due with my old fuel rails till I get more money, or do I have to replace them right way? Is there anything else I need? Who sells this for the cheapest? Thanks, any help is appreciated.
i cut up the stocl ones and used rubber hose clamped to the steel while my fuel rails were on back order. it leaked a bit every now and then but it was good enough to get it running. the right way with new rails is best though.

Hell, one day you might even realize how dumb that was. You'll probably have to see a few car fires to appreciate it though.

But you know what, if i could make that mistake, then so could any one of thousands of others. And what if they tried chopping up stock rails and driving around to be cheap or on backorder. And they died. A clear explanation is kinda important.

Even doing that To do what you did was incredibly stupid. You risked sending your entire car(and anything within a 50 ft radius... i HOPE you didnt do that in a garage) up in flames for what?
Once you have a car catch on you, You never play around with gasoline again. I never had any idea Untill I unhooked My Fuel line one day. A little Fuel and a uniditenfied source of ignition goes a long way.
Trust me.
