Heres a link to one thats for sale on ebay. Ive seen them in the stores before too. Is it worth it? any good info in it or just a lot of crap?

Very good one. But $15? I just saw it at Barnes & Nobles for $17.50, so by the time you've paid shipping... Ah well... means to an end.

 

I personally don' think that book is any good for installing the TPI, good for some parts references.
I have that book and have done 2 TPI swaps. 99% of the info for the swap was gathered from members on this site, like John Millican who really helped me out with his technical expertise.
He was the one who made my swap possible since I had virtually no TPI knowledge when I started my swap.
