dealer wants $150 for the fuel rail O-ring kit
I went to the dealer today to see if they had the O ring kit to replace all the O rings on the fuel rail. I also needed a new regulater gasket. $150 for the kit. I told him NO WAY! I went to autozone and they had a few dirrerent kits with a new regulator and all for $23.00. I picked up a pack of O rings for the rail for $3.00. I should go back to the dealer and show them.
Has anyone done this is repair yet. where did you get your O rings from and what size are they. and why does some kits have differnet size rings. 2 of the rings are the size of a nickel in one kit. and a few others are the diameter of a pencil

new o-rings came w/ my Fel Pro TPI intake gasket set. on another note... when i put in a AFPR, should i change the FPR gasket? i dont wana have a leake after i put it all back together and the Crane AFPR i got didnt come w/ one.
Do you have a part # for the o-ring kit? This is for the transfer tubes right? I have a 91' is it the same kit? I have only been able to find the o-rings along with new tubes and I don't need the actual tubes.

Goto advance auto parts and get P/N 800-9112 it's a GP sorensen part. If you don't have an AAP near you, goto Auto Zone and get them to cross reference their number into their Wells Number.
About four or five dollars, comes with all the o-rings need for the fuel rail, even the cold start injector plug even if you don't have one.
If you have trouble finding them, give me a PM. I'll get them for you.

the part number on the box that I got is GP Sorensen 800-9215. It has 10 O rings in it. I still won't know for sure if it is the right ones until I pull the thing apart.
SMURFN' Z28, the gasket for the regualtor is attached to the regulator itself. So in order to get a new gasket, you will have to get the whole internal part of the regulator. At least thats what I would see having to do. Autozone had one in a kit with rings for $23.00. Then just use the new adjustable "hat"
Ions91Z28, do yo uwork at AAP? if so then can you pull that kit you mentioned and see what is inside for orings. i need to know what size they are. If I was to change just the O rings on my 91 then I would only 8 right. 2 for front, 4 for rear and 2 for lines

Yes, I work at AAP. However, I also sell TPI stuff online, and just O-ringed (that a word?) some fuel rails. I'm almost positive that is the part number you'll need. It'll come with all the hard lines, and the cold start injector part, and the rings in the fuel pressure regulator box.
Not sure on technical terms of all these, but hopefully you'll understand.
Just went to the site, 800-9211 is the kit you need.
That should work. I have to rebuild each one of these after I powder coat them so I'm getting used to them.

Why would I need new hard lines? how much is that kit?
If i remeber correctly from installing my AFPR, the reg, itself had the orange gasket part of the unit. it was like a double layer gasket that had holes around it fo rthe mouting bolts to pass through it
