Quick Question

I was wondering, I am goin to look at a car i found on autotrader. It is an 89 iroc z and says it has a 350. However threre is no vin number. My question is howcan i know if it is a 350 and what are the vin numbers of the 350 engine

if it's the stock engine the 8th digit of the vin would be 8. I believe the vin is in the door, on the rpo code in the rear side storage, and on the dash. I believe there's more but not sure as to the locations.
If there are absolutely no vin's you may want to walk away. It could be stolen.
The block itself should also say GM 5.7L on the back. Least it does on the spare block I have.
