Just got back from the track....new best times w/in...
Drove down 2 hours to Gainesville Raceway in Florida. It was pretty packed and we left the house late so I only got in 2 runs. Anyways...
1st run:
60'- 1.90
1/4- 12.65
MPH- 108.42
I lined up in the staging lanes right away. Waited nearly an hour before I could run, so I had plenty of time to cool down without going to the pits.
2nd run:
60'- 1.74
1/4- 12.39
MPH- 108.84
I was pretty happy with that, I was only hoping to run 12.50's. I wanted to do another run and try to cut a 1.6 60' and maybe run a 12.1x but like I said it was already late.
I was using ET Streets mounted on Draglites on both runs. Race weight with me in it and less than a quarter tank of gas was 3320.
The only thing I did the last time I ran my previous best in my sig was change over to a PA Racing tubular K member and a arms but I doubt the lighter weight made that much of a difference. I think the weather and good track prep helped a lot. I still haven't tuned it that well and the PROM is burned for my old ZZ3 cam....definitely not optimal. My next investment will be prom burning equipment.
I would be *stoked* if I can run an 11.99999 with better tuning and great traction. I guess that's my next goal...high 11s N/A with a 350
But I'm wondering if I can do it with my Superram and LPE 219 cam???? I'm contemplating a Holley Stealthram and Comp Cams XE 230/236 cam, but I wanna see how far I can take the Superram/219 setup. I think I need more MPH though to do it consistently. What do you all think?

Nice runs, I have the same setup and ran 12.39 @ 109.53 without any tuning on BFG Drag Radials. I too am going for 11.99 NA, but I also have a 150 shot I'm going to throw on to try for a 10.99, then I'll have to buy a 9" or 12 bolt.
I love this combo, it is a quick daily driver setup. I think 11.99 is possible out of this combo, I think the key is in the tuning. Some of the C4 guys have run 11.5's with it.

Damn, Guys. That's awesome! Both of you with similar setups knocking on 11s!! I've got to ask this since I've yet to run my car with my new setup. Are the AFRs vastly superior to the Edelbrock Performer heads? If they are at least similar, then would it be smart to say that I too will have a low 12 second car? I value your opinions. :hail: :hail:

BuckeyeROC,
I agree with you that tuning is everything. It's amazing how are nearly identical setups run almost the same times. More proof that the SR/219/AFR 190 is a great street setup you can drive anywhere.
Scott C,
I don't have any experience on the Edelbrock heads but there's no reason why you couldn't pull off a 12 second run. I wouldn't get rid of your heads just yet. Even with some porting I'm sure the Edelbrock heads can flow comparably to the AFRs. Tuning is one key as BuckeyeROC mentioned and I think the other is TRACTION! If you look at my two runs, I knocked off .16 on my 60' times. Just that much brought me down .26 in the quarter! My trap speeds are about the same so the power is there, it's just getting it to the ground. That can mean the difference between a mid 12 and a low 12 second car. Beg, borrow, or steal a set of drag radials or ET Streets! I'm interested to see how your car runs with the HSR, as I'm leaning towards that direction.
