is it possible to put a gear drive in an' 88' IROC W/ TPI and it wont screw up the timining. I heard that it will throw off your timing 'cus of the knock sensor sensing the extra vibrations threw the block but then i had a mech. say that he put one in his truck w/ TBI and snipped the wiring going to the computer, but then wouldnt that just make a whole lot of ignition stuff useless, by not retarding the timing

I'm running a Pete Jackson quiet gear drive on my 89 TPI car and I haven't had any problems.

I have had a lot of whiners complain about the low hum coming from under my hood.

It's STOCK! HONEST!
