Tpi Wiring Harness Questions
Are all 86-89 Tpi harness' the same?Im doing a Tbi to Tpi swap on an 88 Camaro, and have access to an complete set-up off an 86 IROC.Should I use this harness,or find something diffirent? Also,is the maf,and other sensors the same for 86-89?Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Chris
Nope. 86 has different distributor connections than the rest in your specified range. 88 has AC and alternator swapped to opposite sides of the engine. 89 is missing the cold start circuit and the 6 pin chassis connector, and also has the bulkhead connector integrated into the main trunk. And the IP connector on all of those have wires flipflopped around. Then there's differences between auto and manual equipped cars.
But they can all be made to work with a little elbow grease and a couple wiring diagrams.

The car is an auto car, will an 88 350 auto harness work without any problems?Just dont feel like messing with it,theres tons of systems out there,so i might as well find the one i need. Thanks
